Abstract

From this analysis, the role of the Alejandro Durán Musical School is highlighted in favor of the preservation of the popular knowledge of the territory and in the dissemination of the cultural legacy of the minstrel. This study reveals how the experiences and perceptions of the community, including children, young people and popular scholars, contribute to the construction of a collective memory around Durán's music. As a result of the findings of this research, blackness and resistance are highlighted as fundamental motivations in Durán's narratives, also, the Paseo territory is understood as a source and safeguard of popular knowledge, as well as the importance of figure of Durán in the recognition of El Paso, Cesar in other places thanks to his origin from said municipality and the narratives in which the minstrel alluded to his culture Last but not least, it is evident that currently the Alejandro Durán Musical School presents fragmentation in its social relations and although the focus of this work seeks to understand this panorama taking into account the analysis mentioned above, the need arises to co-create an educommunicative proposal
