Abstract
En esta intervención se abordará el manejo inadecuado del proceso de respuesta a las glosas en la institución prestadora de salud (IPS) MEINTEGRAL SAS, este problema se manifiesta por la ausencia de una estrategia efectiva para identificar las causas detrás de las glosas notificadas, las cuales tienen un impacto económico negativo en la IPS, hasta el punto de llegar a una limitación económica en la adquisición de insumos, medicamentos, demoras en pagos de proveedores y trabajadores, las glosas son notificadas por las Entidades Promotoras de Salud (EPS) en cumplimiento de la normativa que las regula, a esto se le suma una gestión deficiente por parte de los colaboradores, lo que ha dificultado considerablemente la recuperación de la cartera en glosa, para enfrentar esta situación, se diseñó y estructuró una base de datos que funciona como herramienta estratégica, permitiendo identificar las inconsistencias y facilitando el siguiente paso hacia la recuperación efectiva de la cartera en glosa con las EPS.
This intervention will address the inadequate management of the claims processing system at the healthcare provider (IPS) MEINTEGRAL SAS. This problem manifests itself in the absence of an effective strategy to identify the causes behind the reported claims, which have a negative economic impact on the IPS, to the point of financial limitations in the acquisition of supplies and medications, and delays in payments to suppliers and employees. Claims are reported by Health Promoting Entities (EPS) in compliance with the regulations that govern them. This is compounded by poor management on the part of staff, which has considerably hindered the recovery of outstanding balances. To address this situation, a database was designed and structured as a strategic tool, allowing for the identification of inconsistencies and facilitating the next step towards the effective recovery of outstanding balances from the EPS.
