Abstract
El objeto de este proyecto era conocer la influencia que existe entre la habilidad de ser inteligentes emocionalmente en el rendimiento ocupacional de los funcionarios de una entidad ubicada en la ciudad de Bucaramanga, enfatizando el impacto de las diversas inteligencias en la generación de conocimiento dentro de la entidad; el tema que se pretende abordar en la investigación es dar respuesta al cuestionamiento ¿Cómo se relaciona la inteligencia emocional (IE) con el rendimiento ocupacional de los funcionarios de una empresa de Bucaramanga? Para lograr lo anterior, se realizó la aplicación del test TMMS-24 en donde se encuentran algunas afirmaciones sobre las emociones y sentimientos de los trabajadores (Gómez-Núñez et al., 2018). Finalmente, se compararon los datos del test TMMS-24 junto a la información recibida a través del informe de evaluación de desempeño de cada funcionario de la entidad en estudio; de lo cual se pudo concluir que la relación entre la inteligencia emocional (IE) y el rendimiento ocupacional es altamente significativa.
