Abstract
El síndrome de burnout es un estado de agotamiento físico, mental y emocional provocado por una carga excesiva de trabajo. Este estudio se enfoca en examinar cómo experimentan el estrés laboral y el síndrome de burnout las empleadas domésticas en varias regiones de Colombia (Antioquia, Chocó y Cesar), por lo cual se entrevistó a una muestra de doce trabajadoras pertenecientes a este sector económico. A estas trabajadoras se les aplico una entrevista semiestructurada, con enfoque cualitativo y corte transversal, por medio de un consentimiento informado las entrevistadas aceptaron voluntariamente ser partícipes del presente estudio, que constaba de veinticuatro preguntas las cuales doce pertenecían a características sociodemográficas y las otras doce a temas propios de la investigación, se tomaron como modelos para la elaboración de las preguntas el modelo de Maslach, donde sus componentes claves son: agotamiento emocional, despersonalización y la disminución de la eficacia, por otra parte también se tuvo en cuenta el modelo de demanda-control- apoyo de Karasek, el cual como componentes claves tiene: la demanda psicológica, el control sobre el trabajo y el apoyo social, las preguntas fueron validadas por siete expertos. En cuanto a los resultados, se analizan diversos aspectos y resaltando el agotamiento emocional en estas trabajadoras y mostrando que las condiciones laborales para estas empleadas, aso como el trato no es el más adecuado.
Burnout syndrome is a state of physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion caused by an excessive workload. This study focuses on examining how domestic employees experience work stress and burnout syndrome in several regions of Colombia (Antioquia, Chocó, and Cesar), for which a sample of twelve workers belonging to this economic sector was interviewed. A semi-structured interview was applied to these workers, with a qualitative and cross-sectional approach. Through informed consent, the interviewees voluntarily agreed to participate in this study, which consisted of twenty-four questions, twelve of which belonged to sociodemographic characteristics and the other twelve to own research topics, the Maslach model was taken as models for developing the questions, where its key components are: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and decreased effectiveness, on the other hand, the demand model was also taken into account. -control- support of Karasek, which as key components has: psychological demand, control over work and social support, the questions were validated by seven experts. Regarding the results, various aspects are analyzed, highlighting the emotional exhaustion in these workers and showing that the working conditions for these employees, as well as the treatment, are not the most appropriate.
