Abstract
El propósito de este estudio fue analizar la relación entre el área de Educación Física,
Recreación y Deportes y el rendimiento académico, en una muestra total de 30 alumnos del
grado 801 J.M del colegio Alexander Fleming I.E.D, se llevó a cabo desde el inicio del año
escolar hasta la terminación del mismo, a través de este estudio se tuvo en cuenta el nivel de
incidencia de la educación física, utilizando como instrumento el cuestionario, compuesto por 15
ítems en los que se identifica el comportamiento de los indicadores académicos y de compromiso
deportivo. El estudio describió el compromiso de los estudiantes caracterizando a cada uno de
ellos y su intervención en las diferentes disciplinas deportivas a través de la entrevista. Se
recopiló aspectos que permitieron lograr un nivel académico positivo en la medida que se van
adaptando al deporte y sus características especificando entre ellos la responsabilidad, trabajo en
equipo, respeto, disciplina, puntualidad e integración.
La formación integral de los estudiantes del colegio Alexander Fleming es de gran
trascendencia para la sociedad, ya que ayuda a tener mejores herramientas para afrontar su vida a
nivel profesional. La práctica de la actividad física generó en los estudiantes hábitos de vida
saludable y en forma regular conllevo beneficios físicos y psicológicos.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the area of Physical Education, Recreation and Sports and academic performance, in a total sample of 30 students of grade 801 J.M of the school Alexander Fleming I.E.D, it was carried out from the beginning of the school year until the end of it, through this study the level of incidence of physical education was taken into account, using as an instrument the questionnaire, composed of 15 items in which the behavior of academic indicators and sports commitment is identified. The study described the commitment of the students by characterizing each one of them and their intervention in the different sports disciplines through the interview. Aspects that allowed them to achieve a positive academic level as they adapt to the sport and its characteristics were compiled, specifying among them responsibility, teamwork, respect, discipline, punctuality and integration. The integral formation of the students of the Alexander Fleming School is of great importance for society, since it helps them to have better tools to face their life at a professional level. The practice of physical activity generated in the students healthy life habits and in a regular way brought physical and psychological benefits
