Abstract
This degree project presents the research findings on the population with Diverse Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity and their family dynamics in a rural environment (Cabuyaro-Meta), highlighting the coping with their sexual diversity and the influence as a fundamental part of the family in assimilation, formation of values, behaviors and integration, but also points out how it can become an obstacle for those who challenge traditional gender and sexual orientation norms. The approach of this research is of mixed origin based on the combination of quantitative and qualitative methods, which has the general objective of evaluating components of Assimilation, Respect and Integration – ARI in the rural population with Diverse Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity – OSIGD, and his family nucleus from the Municipality of Cabuyaro – Meta; It arises from the interest of researchers when they recognize the need to carry out investigative studies in rural territories, recognizing their scarcity; It is based on efforts at the national and local level to promote the rights of SOGID people. In turn, this project contributes to the transformation of thinking about sexual diversity in a more inclusive and fair society in favor of political, legal and social of people with Diverse Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity. The methodological aspects are developed in a problem question and emerging hypothesis, with a sample of twenty-seven (27) people who recognize themselves as the OSIGD population, the procedure emphasizes three phases that link the approach with the OSIGD population, collection of information through techniques and instruments and the analysis of these, concluding that both cases of acceptance and rejection of sexual diversity coexist; However, self-recognition generates emotions that alter family dynamics, which causes difficulties in assimilating sexual diversity under optimal conditions within the family nucleus. On the other hand, various modifications are generated in family dynamics, reflecting both challenges and opportunities for understanding sexual diversity, and they also trigger a series of reactions and adjustments within the home, experiencing positive changes, such as greater openness and understanding towards sexual diversity, which strengthens family ties and promotes an environment of mutual respect.
