Abstract
El presente trabajo de investigación describe el comportamiento de la rentabilidad de Bancolombia en el periodo de la coyuntura por la pandemia del Covid-19. La investigación se enmarca en el estudio de caso, con enfoque descriptivo, transversal y prospectivo, para ello se comó como muestra los estados financieros publicados en la página web de la entidad bancaria para los años 2019 al 2021 y se identificaron los indicadores de rentabilidad Roe, Roa, Utilidad Neta, Utilidad Operativa y Ebitda, para posteriormente analizarlos comparativamente y determinar la variabilidad en su comportamiento. Finalmente, se concluyó que Bancolombia cerró el indicador de rentabilidad sobre el patrimonio en 1.02% en el año 2020 y presentó un decrecimiento en su utilidad neta del 73.07%, (equivalente a 2.45 billones de pesos), llegando a 904.331 millones de pesos al final del período con respecto a los años 2019 y 2021.
