El propósito con la presente investigación fue analizar cuáles son las afectaciones familiares, sociales y económicas que afrontan las mujeres que cumplen el rol de esposas o madres con un integrante de la familia privado de la libertad en el Centro Penitenciario Bellavista del Municipio de Bello desde el año 2020. Metodológicamente, se realizó un estudio cualitativo bajo el paradigma comprensivo interpretativo, basado en un diseño fenomenológico. La recolección de datos se realizó a través de un grupo focal con siete mujeres que cumplen el rol de esposas y madres en una familia y la aplicación de entrevistas semiestructuradas a cuatro mujeres esposas y tres madres, representantes de las familias que tienen un integrante privado de la libertad. Los hallazgos de la presente investigación permiten concluir que, a pesar de la profundidad y el alcance de las transformaciones al interior de las familias, este tema ha sido escasamente explorado por la investigación académica, reflejando una omisión en la comprensión del fenómeno carcelario y sus diversas implicaciones.
The purpose of this research was to analyze the family, social and economic effects faced by women who fulfill the role of wives or mothers with a family member deprived of liberty in the Bellavista Penitentiary Center of the Municipality of Bello since 2020. Data collection was carried out through a focus group with seven women who play the role of wives and mothers in a family and the application of semi-structured interviews with four wives and three mothers, representatives of families that have a member deprived of liberty. The findings of the present research allow us to conclude that, despite the depth and scope of the transformations within families, this topic has been scarcely explored by academic research, reflecting an omission in the understanding of the prison phenomenon and its diverse implications.
