Abstract
Este trabajo de grado se desarrolló a partir de la necesidad de analizar los procesos de expresión y comprensión de las emociones en niños y niñas de 5 a 12 años del centro asistencial Unigarden de la Universidad UNIMINUTO sede Pitalito, en Colombia, donde se reconoció la importancia del lenguaje verbal y no verbal en los procesos emocionales. Se fomento el bienestar y el trabajo integral en contextos familiares y educativos; a su vez, se apoya en referentes teóricos de la psicología del desarrollo y la educación emocional, la investigación se realizó de forma cualitativa, mediante un estudio de caso descriptivo e interpretativo, donde se aplicaron técnicas como la observación y entrevista a una muestra de 6 estudiantes. Con este estudio se contribuye a que este grupo de niños reconozcan lo que sienten, mediante estrategias pedagógicas que ayuden a las necesidades de expresión, comprensión y comunicación positiva y activa de las emociones.

Well-being and healthy coexistence in family and educational contexts were promoted; in turn, it is supported by theoretical references from developmental psychology and emotional education. The research was conducted qualitatively, through a descriptive and interpretive case study, where techniques such as observation and interviews were applied to a sample of six students. This study contributes to this group's recognition of what they feel, through pedagogical strategies that support their needs for expression, language comprehension, and positive and active communication.
