Abstract
Maderas Eucalipto S.A.S.
Maderas Eucalipto S.A.S. ZESE is one of the leading companies in the production of pallets and wood products in Cúcuta, recognized for the quality of its products and its adaptability to the market. However, the company faces a challenge in implementing an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SG-SST), as despite being aware of its importance, it has not yet managed to establish a comprehensive system that complies with current legal regulations. As a result, employees are exposed to work-related risks, including accidents and incidents, due to the lack of appropriate procedures to identify hazards and assess risks in its production processes. The company’s economic activity, related to wood processing, involves the use of specialized machinery, which represents an additional risk to workers. Moreover, the limited infrastructure and the lack of preventive measures create constant exposure to hazards for both production staff and administrative personnel, who also face risks while carrying out their daily tasks. Given this situation, it is crucial for Maderas Eucalipto S.A.S. ZESE to develop and implement control measures to mitigate the existing risks and improve working conditions. This project proposes the partial design of an Occupational Health and Safety Management System, in accordance with Decree 1072 of 2015 and Resolution 0312 of 2019, with the aim of creating a framework of action that promotes health and safety at work, establishing the necessary procedures and documentation for the full implementation of the system, which will provide a safer and healthier work environment for its employees.
