Análisis de la innovación y los aspectos socioeconómicos en el desarrollo del turismo comunitario en Santa Sofía Centro, Amazonas, Colombia

En el desarrollo de la investigación se analizaron los principales aspectos socioeconómicos y la percepción de innovación aplicada a las dinámicas de turismo comunitarios en Santa Sofía Centro, comunidad perteneciente al resguardo de Santa Sofia y Progreso en amazonas, Colombia. No obstante, pese al gran potencial turístico de la región, se afrontan dificultades asociadas a la baja inversión y al limitado apoyo gubernamental; lo que ha dificultado el desarrollo del turismo comunitario, repercutiendo en la distribución equitativa de los beneficios dando cabida a la predominancia de economías de subsistencia complementada en menor proporción por actividades turísticas estacionales.
Desde un enfoque mixto, cualitativamente aplicando instrumentos de observación participante y entrevistas aplicadas a los habitantes de la comunidad, se indagó sobre participación comunitaria, aspectos socioeconómicos, culturales y del medio ambiente; validando su relación con el turismo y la innovación aplicada. Esta información, se complementó cuantitativamente mediante encuestas aplicadas a turistas para conocer su percepción sobre innovación, el trabajo comunitario y sus motivaciones para visitar la comunidad.
Los datos obtenidos se codificaron, tabularon y analizaron, encontrando que la participación comunitaria implementada a la prestación del turismo ha contribuido al desarrollo económico y social, beneficiando la calidad de vida de los habitantes de la comunidad. Sin embargo, enfrenta desafíos importantes para la adopción de prácticas de innovación en sus procesos la protección del patrimonio natural y cultural en la interacción y el desarrollo de actividades con los turistas.
The research aimed to analyze the socioeconomic aspects and the perception of innovation within the dynamics of community tourism in Santa Sofía Centro, wich is a part of the indigenous reserve of Santa Sofía and Progreso in Amazonas, Colombia. Despite its significant tourism potential, the region faces limitations due to low investment and limited government support. This has hindered the development of community tourism and prevented the equitable distribution of its benefits. The local economy remains predominantly subsistence-based, supplemented to a lesser extent by seasonal tourism activities. Using a mixed-methods approach, the qualitative component involved participant observation and interviews with community members . The study explored issues related to community participation, socioeconomic conditions, cultural factors, and environmental aspects, analyzing their connection to tourism and applied innovation. This qualitative data was complemented by a quantitative component through surveys conducted with tourists, aimed at understanding their perceptions of innovation, community engagement, and their motivations for visiting the area. The collected data were coded, tabulated, and analyzed, revealing that community participation in tourism services has contributed to economic and social development, enhancing the quality of life for local residents. However, significant challenges remain in adopting innovative practices, as well as in ensuring the protection of the community’s natural and cultural heritage in the context of tourist interactions and related activities.
