Abstract
Farma Bello Drugstore is a company dedicated to the sale of medications, and it carries out both administrative and operational activities in different modalities (office and operational areas), which can lead to workers being exposed to various risks that may affect their physical, mental, and social well-being. Health is the most valuable asset of a human being, but it can be affected when subjected to strenuous working hours. Injuries to muscles, tendons, and nerves—characterized by discomfort, weakness, inability to perform movements or tasks, and continuous pain—are disorders that can originate from musculoskeletal issues. For this reason, it is important to examine each of the risk factors that cause these types of conditions in the workplace, and likewise, to seek preventive measures that can significantly reduce this problem. That is why I consider this project to be of great relevance for the organization, as it aims to improve the quality of work life, reduce costs generated by occupational illnesses, improve service quality, increase competitiveness, create more partnerships, and above all, foster healthy environments for those who work there. An important factor is the analysis of the job position, where the shortcomings in Farma Bello Drugstore SAS’s internal organizational processes can be identified, particularly the lack of an Epidemiological Surveillance Program to monitor and control these risks. Likewise, the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders in both upper and lower limbs is determined, and it becomes evident that there is a relationship between the workers’ inadequate postures and the musculoskeletal injuries they have experienced over the past year.
