El síndrome de burnout es un estado de agotamiento físico, emocional y mental que se produce como consecuencia del estrés crónico laboral. This project investigates stress and burnout syndrome in domestic workers. Its objective is to "Analyze stress and burnout syndrome in domestic workers in Bogotá and the Municipality of El Rosal, Cundinamarca." The methodological plan involved the use of semi-structured interviews, MBI, and PSS14 questionnaires, administered to six domestic workers. Research on stress and burnout syndrome has focused on determining the causes and effects of this syndrome, as well as identifying factors that can help prevent it. Burnout syndrome is a state of physical, emotional, and mental exhaustion that results from chronic work-related stress. It is characterized by a loss of energy. This occurs due to work overload from performing demanding or heavy activities that may be associated with physical conditions beyond what the individual can perform during the workday. The lack of active breaks or a healthy and balanced diet causes constant fatigue related to overworked work schedules (more than 8 hours a day) and insufficient weekend breaks. Physical exhaustion and a negative attitude toward work caused by frustration. The lack of fair treatment from employers contributes to demotivation, as the lack of rewards or recognition for their work contributes to the lack of opportunities for academic growth. The lack of opportunities for academic growth also leads to absenteeism, reducing productivity and a lack of interest in work.
