Abstract
FITME, una empresa que se encarga de la distribución y venta de productos de belleza y cuidado personal en Girardot, Cundinamarca, se detectaron factores de riesgo biomecánico que impactaban principalmente a los empleados de las áreas administrativas (Asesor comercial- Servicio al cliente-Marketing), mantenimiento (Servicio general), operativa (Bodega). Estas tareas requerían mantener posturas fijas, realizar movimientos repetitivos y cargar objetos, lo que aumentaba la posibilidad de padecer trastornos musculo esqueléticos (TME) y afectaba de manera negativa la salud en el trabajo, así como el desempeño laboral y la calidad del servicio. A nivel nacional, estas enfermedades representaban el 82 % de los problemas de salud laboral, y en FITME, la falta de condiciones ergonómicas adecuadas, pausas activas planificadas y programas de concienciación sobre la higiene postural empeoraba la situación. El propósito principal del estudio fue examinar el nivel de riesgo biomecánico a través de la aplicación de la técnica de evaluación REBA, con el objetivo de generar propuestas que ayuden a reducir la sintomatología osteomuscular en los trabajadores. El enfoque metodológico elegido fue mixto y descriptivo, sustentado en el uso de herramientas de análisis ergonómico reconocidas a nivel internacional, específicamente el método de Evaluación Rápida de todo el Cuerpo (REBA), junto con una matriz de peligros y un plan de acción que considerara las normativas actuales y las guías técnicas de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo. El procedimiento incluyó un diagnóstico inicial, la aplicación de métodos, el análisis de resultados y la formulación de medidas preventivas y correctivas. A través de este proceso, se pretendió desarrollar un plan integral de intervención ergonómica que permitiera a FITME disminuir la frecuencia de TME y establecer un ambiente de trabajo seguro y saludable.

These tasks required maintaining fixed postures, performing repetitive movements, and lifting objects, which increased the likelihood of suffering musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) and negatively impacted health at work, as well as job performance and service quality. At the national level, these illnesses accounted for 82% of occupational health problems, and at FITME, the lack of adequate ergonomic conditions, planned active breaks, and awareness programs on postural hygiene worsened the situation. The main purpose of the study was to examine the level of biomechanical risk through the application of the REBA assessment technique, with the aim of generating proposals that help reduce musculoskeletal symptoms in workers. The chosen methodological approach was mixed and descriptive, based on the use of internationally recognized ergonomic analysis tools, specifically the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method, along with a hazard matrix and an action plan that considered current regulations and technical guides on Occupational Health and Safety. The procedure included an initial diagnosis, the application of methods, the analysis of results, and the formulation of preventive and corrective measures. Through this process, the aim was to develop a comprehensive ergonomic intervention plan that would allow FITME to reduce the frequency of MSDs and establish a safe and healthy work environment.
