Abstract

Hence the need for prevention as a tool that can contribute both to reducing the negative impact that this experience can bring and to protect against possible future harassment events. To this end, women over 18 years of age participated, who contributed their experiences with this phenomenon, with the purpose of identifying the frequencies and ways in which tey experience street harassment, for example, as direct victims or observers; and the narratives and perceptions of the experiences, recognizing those functional strategies that served as a possible prevention measure, in order to contrast with what was said by other related theoretical references
