Abstract
Los mercaderistas son una población de trabajadores que sufre en su mayor parte
lesiones por posturas forzadas, por levantar o soportar objetos, y mantener posturas
prolongadas durante sus jornadas laborales. Todo esto representa riesgos para la salud de
los operarios; esta población debe cargar canastas o cajas que por lo general tienen un peso
de superior a lo permitido, y en muchas ocasiones deben cargar con el doble de los
volúmenes ergonómicamente viables. Por tal motivo este trabajo busca reconocer los
peligros biomecánicos a los que se ven expuestos los trabajadores. Para lograr este objetivo
se procedió a recopilar la bibliografía referente a los problemas derivados de la actividad
laboral y que influyen con los trastornos musculo esqueléticos. Posteriormente se realizó un
análisis de cargo a través de una encuesta donde se deducen los principales peligros y las
principales problemáticas a las que se enfrentan los mercaderistas de un supermercado en
Buga – Valle Del Cauca. Esta investigación permitió identificar el peligro biomecánico por
la manipulación manual de cargas al que se ven expuestos a través de la aplicación del
método GINSHT.

This seeks to recognize the biomechanical dangers to which workers are exposed, to achieve this objective we proceeded to compile the bibliography referring to problems derived from work activity and that influence musculoskeletal disorders. Subsequently, a load analysis was carried out through a survey where the main dangers and problems faced by workers in department stores in Buga are deduced. This research seeks to identify the biomechanical danger caused by the manual handling of loads in some merchants in a supermarket in the city of Buga- Valle in the year 2020, through the application of the GINSHT method.
