Cantar para doler : tradiciones de muerte

Abstract

Con esta investigación se busca mediante la creación de una crónica dar a conocer las prácticas mortuorias ancestrales del Pacifico Norte colombiano, puntualmente de Istmina, Chocó. En este texto se destacan los conceptos de identidad y el patrimonio cultural, la importancia que estos tienen y su impacto en una comunidad. Posteriormente se relata la historia, relevancia y vigencia que tienen los ritos funerarios y tal como lo afirma López Ramírez, O (1998) cumplen su función como “metáforas de vida”. Cabe mencionar que esta es una investigación cualitativa, amparada bajo la teoría de Estudios Culturales.This research seeks through the creation of a chronicle to publicize the ancestral mortuary practices of the Colombian North Pacific, specifically from Istmina, Chocó. This text highlights the concepts of identity and cultural heritage, the importance they have and their impact on a community. Subsequently, the history, relevance and validity of the funeral rites is related and as stated by López Ramírez, O (1998) fulfill their function as “life metaphors”. It is worth mentioning that this is a qualitative research, protected under the theory of Cultural Studies.
