Abstract
El presente trabajo de investigación se elaboró en la institución Educativa Académico de Buga Valle, su objetivo principal estuvo enfocado hacia el fortalecimiento de la cultura ambiental por medio de elementos teóricos y la praxis que se vieron reflejados, en el desarrollo de la huerta escolar y el herbario medicinal. Esta investigación se enmarcó en una metodología cualitativa con un enfoque IAP, para ello se empleó recolección de datos por medio de instrumentos, tales como la observación participante y las encuestas, realizadas a estudiantes, padres de familia y docentes del grado 8º2, instrumentos que permitieron realizar un diagnóstico de la problemática encontrada, en lo que se pudo evidenciar elementos conceptuales y aprendizajes previos que generaban en los estudiantes la necesidad de acercarse a las acciones para contribuir al desarrollo de una cultura ambiental. En este sentido, esta investigación trajo consigo un proceso de sensibilización hacia la cultura ambiental, por medio de intervenciones pedagógicas en las cuales, se diseñaron estrategias que permitieron habilitar espacios, no solo de transmisión de conocimientos sino también la aplicación de estos, a través de vivencias que posibilitaron la transformación de su realidad.
The research conducted took place in the Buga Valle Academic Educational Institution, its main objective was focused on strengthening the environmental culture through theoretical elements and praxis that were reflected in the development of the school garden and the herbal medicine. This research was framed in a qualitative methodology with an IAP approach, for which data collection was used through instruments, such as participant observation and surveys, carried out on students, parents and teachers of grade 8º2, with instruments that made it possible to make a diagnosis of the problem found, in which it was possible to demonstrate conceptual elements and previous learning that made the students feel the need to approach the actions to contribute to the development of an environmental culture.In this sense, this research achieved a process of sensitization towards environmental culture, through pedagogical interventions in which strategies were designed that allowed spaces to be enabled, not only for the transmission of knowledge but also for the application of it through the experiences, which made it possible for the transformation of their reality.
