Abstract
The incorporation of elements of information and communication technologies-TIC- as a means of guidance through the teaching processes of students from different branches, levels and parts of the world became a substantial element for the continuity of their responsibilities and activities, Therefore, through this degree work, some impacts on learning and academic performance caused by the use of TIC tools were identified in a group of eighth grade students of the Pedro Estrada Educational Institution of the municipality of Itagüí, by means of two surveys carried out both to students and to the group of teachers directly involved in the educational process of young people, who have perceptions about the results found with the application of this educational modality. Thus, a general description and results are achieved which, although they are ambiguous from the perspective of the impacts on both groups (teachers see a decrease in performance, while students do not perceive a reduction in performance), it is clear that there is a predilection for face-to-face learning, given the limiting elements of the use of these technologies in non-face-to-face modalities, and that the didactic and exploratory elements are tools that students appreciate in their processes. However, given the established objectives, three (3) teaching methods are presented that have useful alternatives for the institution, whose application is broad and adaptable at times when face-to-face attendance is not possible.
