Falta de seguridad social en los carretilleros mayores de 60 años de la Central Mayorista de Antioquia; carretilleros con la vida al hombro

Abstract

La presente investigación realiza un acercamiento a la realidad a la que se ven enfrentados los individuos que desempeñan la labor de carretilleros en la central mayorista de Antioquia pues hasta el momento este gremio no cuenta con beneficios Laborales y sus bajos ingresos no les permiten acceder a ningún tipo de seguridad social como salud, pensión riesgos laborales, entre otros. Por lo que se hace importante visibilizar las condiciones de este gremio y “el día a día de esta actividad de baja remuneración y poca atención, pero fundamental dentro del proceso mercantil” de la central mayorista (Bravo y Ocampo, 2016, p. 6). El objetivo principal de esta investigación es conocer y analizar la situación de los carretilleros y como incide en la calidad de vida de los mismos con el fin de identificar causas y posibles consecuencias; el enfoque que se utilizó fue el fenomenológico, la muestra del estudio fue realizada a 81 carretilleros pertenecientes a la población objeto, en su mayoría hombres, los instrumentos utilizados para recoger información fue rastreos bibliográficos y la aplicación de encuestas que permitirán dar cuenta de la cantidad de personas y sus diferentes características como resultado se observa que los carretilleros se encuentran en unas condiciones de vulnerabilidad debido al contexto que se vive en la central mayorista. La investigación permite concluir que los carretilleros en el desempeño de sus actividades empiezan a sufrir enfermedades de origen profesional o tienen accidentes en el ámbito laboral y no hay quien admita su responsabilidad.

This research makes an approach to the reality faced by the individuals who carry out the work of wheelbarrow drivers in the central wholesale of Antioquia, since until now this union does not have laboral benefits and their low income does not allow them to access any type of social security such as health, occupational hazards, pension, among others. Therefore, it is important to make visible the conditions of this unión, and the day-to-day of this low-paid and low-attention activity, but fundamental within the commercial process of the central wholesale. The main objective of this research is toknow and analyze the situation of the wheelbarrow drivers and how it affects their quality of life in order to identify causes and possible consequences; the approach that was used was the phenomenological one, the study sample was carried out to 81 wheelbarrow drivers belonging to the target population, mostly men, the instruments used to collect information were bibliographic searches and the application of surveys that will allow to account for the quantity of people and their different characteristics.As a result it is observed that the drivers are in vulnerable conditions due to the context that exists in the central wholesale.The investigation allows us to conclude that the wheelbarrow drivers, in the performance of their activities, begin to sufferdiseases of professional origin or have accidents in the workplace and no one admits their responsibility.
