Abstract
There are many factors of the work environment that can affect mental health, in most cases the risks they entail are due to an inadequate interaction between the type of work, the organizational and managerial environment, the skills and competencies of the staff and the facilities offered to them to perform their work. (World Health Organization, 2019). However, the human being is integral and capable of taking risks that affect his physical, emotional, or mental well-being. His documentary review seeks to identify the psychosocial risk factors present that affect the mental health of workers exposed in confined spaces, during the last decade. The type of study that was used in this research is qualitative with descriptive scope, from the theoretical review to the numeral sample was formed by a total of 50 articles, for the analysis of the information, it was organized by means of the instrument “Matrix and format Rae”. The results indicate that there is no clear variable that relates the psychosocial risk factors that affect the health of workers exposed to work in confined spaces, however, there are studies that relate the psychosocial risk factors with high-risk activities, evidencing the lack of research towards the psychosocial risk factors that affect the mental health of workers in confined spaces. In conclusion, this work will guide future researchers to have a broader picture of psychosocial risk factors associated with confined spaces that affect worker health.
