Abstract
La motivación en el desempeño laboral de un trabajador, es clave a la hora de ejecutar
las funciones. Conocer cuáles son esos factores que componen la motivación, es una búsqueda
que se ha venido haciendo desde hace más de un siglo; Taylor asociaba la motivación
directamente con el salario y todo lo relacionado a la recompensa monetaria, lo que en un
principio tuvo resultados. Maslow intenta ir un poco más allá hablando de unos componentes
escenciales para la motivación, lo que en resumen se trataba de tener cubiertas las necesidades
básicas que facilitan la supervivevencia y luego a partir de allí e ir a un plano que esté ligado a
lo trascedental y la búsqueda de sentido. Desde esta perspectiva Herzberg define dos variables
para la motivación de los trabajadores: “la motivación extrínseca y la motivación intrínseca”,
donde esta última hace referencia a la sensación de logro y el sentirse importante dentro de la
organización.
A través de esta monografía se busca conocer, de qué forma, la motivación genera un
impacto en el desempeño laboral de los trabajadores del sector comercial y el sector de la salud
en países de Iberoamérica cómo España, Colombia y Ecuador.
A través de una búsqueda bibliográfica y desde un enfoque cualitativo se encontraron
antecedentes de seis países de Iberoamérica. En relación a la motivación laboral, aún hay sobre
la mesa los temas asociados a la parte salarial, como componente de la motivación, que, si bien
tiene su impacto en esta, también hay que considerar la otra cara y es la motivación que viene
de base desde el interior de cada persona.

Knowing what those factors that make up motivation are, is a search that has been carried out for more than a century; Taylor associated motivation directly with salary and everything related to monetary reward, which initially had results. Maslow tries to go a little further by talking about some essential components for motivation, which in short was about having the basic needs that facilitate survival covered and then from there and going to a plane that is linked to the transcendental and the search for meaning. From this perspective Herzberg defines two variables for the motivation of people: extrinsic motivation and intrinsic motivation, where the latter refers to the feeling of achievement and feeling important within the organization. Through this monograph we seek to know, in what way, motivation generates an impact on the work performance of workers in the commercial sector and the health sector in Latin American countries such as Spain, Colombia and Ecuador. Through a bibliographic search and from a qualitative approach, antecedents of six Ibero-American countries were found. In relation to work motivation, there are still on the table the issues associated with the salary part, as a component of motivation, which, although it has an impact on it, we must also consider the other side and that is the motivation that comes from basis from within each person.
