Abstract Having valid and reliable psychological instruments is essential to ensure accurate assessments and evidence-based professional decisions. In this context, the present study emerges as a contribution to the need to strengthen the psychometric resources available within our academic and professional community. The objective was to evaluate the convergent validity of a digital version of the Self-Concept Questionnaire Form-5 (AF-5; García & Musitu) with reference to social skills, social anxiety, self-esteem, and academic performance. A quantitative, correlational research design was applied to 142 undergraduate psychology students from different semesters at Corporación Universitaria Minuto de Dios, Bello campus. The instruments used were the AF-5 (García & Musitu), CHASO Version III (Caballo), SIAS (Mattick & Clarke), and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale. Data were coded and analyzed using the Jamovi software, applying Spearman’s (ρ) and Pearson’s (r) correlation coefficients, while visualizations were created in Tableau Public to facilitate interpretation. Results showed significant correlations between self-concept, self-esteem, and social skills, as well as a positive trend between physical self-concept and academic or work performance. Although variations between coefficients were minimal, the relationships remained consistent, supporting the convergent validity of the digital instrument. Finally, the importance of continuing research and promoting the use of tools adapted to the current context is highlighted, as they strengthen both psychological practice and educational research.
