Abstract
This research work focuses on analyzing the implementation of electronic billing in microenterprise restaurants in the town of Chapinero, Bogotá, and the benefits and challenges associated with its adoption. The research was carried out under a mixed approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods to obtain a complete picture of the current situation and facilitate the understanding of the factors that influence the adoption of this technology. A descriptive-explanatory study was carried out to identify the characteristics of the implementation of electronic billing and the difficulties faced by businesses in the town. The sample was based on 48 randomly selected restaurants, using a confidence level of 90% and a margin of error of 6%. Closed-type, multiple-choice surveys were applied to the owners and legal representatives of these establishments to collect information about their experience and perceptions. The results obtained showed that only 4% of respondents had implemented electronic invoicing. Among the main reasons why the majority had not adopted this system were the lack of knowledge about the implementation of the process (42%), the associated costs (29%) and the lack of technological resources (29%). Additionally, resistance to change and information security concerns were also identified as significant barriers
