Abstract
Para las empresas del sector construcción, es de gran interés la seguridad y salud en los trabajadores, ya que es un sector con una alta tasa de accidentalidad por factores de riesgo mecánico”. (Concejo colombiano de seguridad,2020), Debido a varios factores que se presentan al realizar las actividades diarias de riesgo mecánico, se busca investigar a fondo las causas por las cuales se presentan estos tipos de accidentes como: atrapamientos, golpes, aplastamiento y choques entre otros; la accidentalidad se determina por la gravedad de las lesiones producidas por el contacto con las herramientas manuales y operaciones de equipo y maquinaria entre otras.
La presente investigación se guía por medio de la caracterización de accidentalidad del año 2021, dónde se evidencian los factores que influenciaron en la materialización de los mismos, para mitigar el riesgo mecánico se realizan encuesta, con variables que permitieron identificar el comportamiento de los trabajadores, arrojando resultados que requieren de un plan de mejoramiento para reducir la tasa de accidentalidad en el área de mantenimiento y equipos de la empresa Proinvipacifico S.A.S.

The present research is guided by the characterization of accidents of the year 2021, where the factors that influenced the materialization of the same are evidenced, to mitigate the mechanical risk a survey is carried out, with variables that allowed to identify the behavior of the workers, yielding results that require an improvement plan to reduce the accident rate in the maintenance and equipment area of the company Proinvipacifico S.A.S.
