Factores familiares relacionados con la salud mental en niños, niñas y adolescentes con diagnóstico psiquiátrico

Abstract
La familia desempeña un papel crucial en la salud mental de los niños, niñas y
adolescentes, factores como la disfuncionalidad familiar, nivel socioeconómico y estructura familiar
pueden influir en problemas interiorizados como depresión y ansiedad. Esta investigación busca
identificar factores familiares relacionados con la salud mental de esta población. Metodología: es
un estudio cuantitativo con diseño no experimental, transversal con alcance descriptivo
correlacional. Se implemento el instrumento SENA y una encuesta sociodemográfica. Se contó con la
participación de 89 niños, niñas y adolescentes con edades comprendidas entre los 10 y 17 años,
que presentan un diagnóstico psiquiátrico y que acudieron a los servicios de hospitalización y/o
consulta externa en la Clínica Nuestra Señora de la Paz. Resultados: se encontraron hallazgos
asociados a una diferencia significativa entre el sexo y quejas somáticas, siendo las mujeres quienes
presentan mayor condición (p= 0,001). Se observó una correlación positiva entre las variables
educación papá y sintomatología postraumática (r=0.265), problemas familiares y depresión (r=
0.481), ansiedad (r= 0,367), quejas somáticas (r= 0.284), sintomatología postraumática, (r=0.355).
Además, se encontró una correlación positiva entre los problemas interiorizados depresión con
ansiedad (r=0,781), ansiedad social (r=0,539), quejas somáticas (r=0,667) y sintomatología
postraumática (r=0,717). Discusión: el estudio permitió identificar que algunos factores
sociodemográficos y problemas familiares influyen en los problemas interiorizados de los niños,
niñas y adolescentes. Conclusiones: se recomienda realizar programas de psicoeducación enfocados
en la promoción de la salud mental desde el contexto familiar
The family plays a crucial role in the mental health of children and adolescents, factors such as family dysfunctionality, socioeconomic level and family structure can influence internalized problems such as depression and anxiety. This research seeks to identify family factors related to mental health in this population. Methodology: this is a quantitative study with a non-experimental, cross-sectional design with a descriptive correlational scope. The SENA instrument and a sociodemographic survey were implemented. Eighty-nine children and adolescents between the ages of 10 and 17 years old, with a psychiatric diagnosis, who attended hospitalization and/or outpatient services at the Clínica Nuestra Señora de la Paz, participated in the study. Results: there were findings associated with a significant difference between sex and somatic complaints, with women presenting a greater condition (p= 0.001). A positive correlation was observed between the variables education dad and post-traumatic symptomatology (r=0.265), family problems and depression (r= 0.481), anxiety (r= 0.367), somatic complaints (r= 0.284), post-traumatic symptomatology, (r=0.355).
