Abstract
This research aims to identify the size of the population under study to determine the population sample of employees from different economic sectors working in teleworking mode in Colombia, aligned with research references related to psychosocial risk factors, stress and burnout syndrome in these workers. The design used is quantitative with descriptive scope. The objective was achieved through the development of literature review techniques and legal regulations, the theoretical analysis of probabilistic models for the identification of the population sample and finally through the substitution of the finite size of the population universe in the simple random sampling. It was found that there are different legal figures that regulate the implementation and execution of telecommuting, being teleworking the figure with the largest active population in different economic sectors, recognizing that this modality is not new, but has been highly impacted by contextual variables, which have favored its implementation and boom in the years following the pandemic by COVID-19, also recognizing that different forms of work involve new risks for the active labor force. Finally, we conclude and emphasize the importance of periodically conducting studies that allow us to know the size of the population, since it is a dynamic that allows us to advance in different lines of research focused on the identification and management of psychosocial risk factors in labor contexts in Colombia
