Abstract
This research focuses on the closure and deactivation of Vocational Training and Human Development Centers (FTDH) in the municipality of Soacha, specifically in Comuna 2. In this locality of Cundinamarca department, there has been a significant shortage of institutions offering technical and professional training services, which limits the personal and labor development opportunities for the population. The study aims to analyze the various causes that have led to the closure or deactivation of these centers, among which the licensing process by the municipality's Secretary of Education is a key factor. This situation not only affects educational offerings but also impacts employment and the quality of life for Soacha's residents, exacerbating existing socioeconomic problems. Additionally, factors such as lack of resources, outdated curricula, insufficient training for teaching staff, and poor coordination between FTDH and the productive sector will be examined. Through a qualitative and quantitative approach, the research seeks to understand the extent of this issue and its implications for local development. Finally, the study aims to provide recommendations for the reactivation and strengthening of FTDH in Soacha, with the goal of contributing to the comprehensive training of the population and their effective integration into the labor market.
