Abstract
La presente investigación aborda la problemática de la falta de estandarización de procesos y procedimientos en EMPRA S.A.S, una empresa dedicada a la recolección, clasificación, separación, consolidación y distribución de materiales reciclables. La ausencia de un manual estructurado ha generado inconsistencias operativas, duplicidad, aumento de costos, desperdicio de recursos y dificultades para garantizar la calidad del servicio y el cumplimiento normativo.
El objetivo principal fue analizar cómo la implementación de un manual de procesos puede optimizar la eficiencia operativa, reducir errores y mejorar la trazabilidad en las actividades de la empresa. A través de un enfoque descriptivo y aplicado, se identificaron las áreas críticas dentro de la operación, se evaluaron los impactos de la falta de estandarización y se propusieron soluciones prácticas para mejorar la productividad y sostenibilidad deEMPRA S.A.S.
Los resultados evidenciaron que la falta de lineamientos claros afecta tanto la operatividad interna como la percepción externa de la empresa, limitando su competitividad en un sector cada vez más regulado y exigente. Asimismo, se concluyó que la implementación de un manual de procesos no solo permitiría estandarizar las actividades, sino también establecer indicadores de desempeño, optimizar recursos y fortalecer la capacitación del personal.
This research addresses the problem of the lack of standardization of processes and procedures in EMPRA SAS, a company dedicated to the collection, classification, separation, consolidation and distribution of recyclable materials. The absence of a structured manual has generated operational inconsistencies, duplication, increased costs, waste of resources and difficulties in guaranteeing service quality and regulatory compliance. The main objective was to analyze how the implementation of a process manual can optimize operational efficiency, reduce errors and improve traceability in the company's activities. Through a descriptive and applied approach, critical areas within the operation were identified, the impacts of the lack of standardization were evaluated and practical solutions were proposed to improve the productivity and sustainability of EMPRA S.A.S. The results showed that the lack of clear guidelines affects both the internal operation and the external perception of the company, limiting its competitiveness in an increasingly regulated and demanding sector. Likewise, it was concluded that the implementation of a process manual would not only standardize activities, but also establish performance indicators, optimize resources and strengthen staff training.
