Abstract
Los emprendedores propietarios de vehículos de carga seca en Bogotá enfrentan inconvenientes con el crecimiento financiero en su modelo de negocio por ser un gremio de personas independientes que deben sortear las diferentes situaciones en la prestación del servicio; en consecuencia, el objetivo de la presente investigación es establecer los determinantes que influyen en el crecimiento financiero del sector de transporte de carga seca en Bogotá: estudio de caso. Para dicho estudio se abordaron entrevistas semi estructuradas con once propietarios de automotores de carga seca con características similares al estudio de caso. La investigación reveló perspectivas significativas a través del trabajo de campo y en los resultados prevalece la inquietud y malestar de los entrevistados respecto a obstáculos que han enfrentado para obtener una estabilidad y crecimiento financiero; en cuanto a la gestión financiera, se observa una tendencia preocupante de retrasos en los pagos de fletes, afectando los flujos de efectivo y la viabilidad financiera. Los transportadores expresan dificultades para establecer metas financieras alcanzables y enfrentan desafíos en el cumplimiento de objetivos a largo plazo. En conclusión, se resalta la importancia de considerar cuidadosamente los costos operativos y estrategias para gestionar cuentas por cobrar, así como la pertinencia de los registros financieros para evaluar costos, ingresos y flujos de efectivo, de igual manera, la complejidad financiera y operativa del sector subraya la necesidad de abordar los desafíos económicos, sociales y gubernamentales para garantizar la sostenibilidad a largo plazo del modelo de negocio.
Entrepreneurs who own dry freight vehicles in Bogota face problems with the financial growth of their business model because they are a group of independent individuals who must deal with different situations in the provision of the service; consequently, the objective of this research is to establish the determinants that influence the financial growth of the dry freight transportation sector in Bogota: a case study. For this study, semi-structured interviews were conducted with eleven owners of dry freight vehicles with similar characteristics to the case study. The research revealed significant perspectives through the field work and the results show that the interviewees are concerned and uneasy about the obstacles they have faced to obtain financial stability and growth; in terms of financial management, there is a worrying trend of delays in freight payments, affecting cash flows and financial viability. Transporters express difficulties in setting achievable financial goals and face challenges in meeting long-term objectives. In conclusion, the importance of carefully considering operating costs and strategies to manage accounts receivable, as well as the relevance of financial records to evaluate costs, revenues and cash flows, is highlighted, as well as the financial and operational complexity of the sector underlines the need to address economic, social and governmental challenges to ensure the longterm sustainability of the business model.
