Abstract

The methodological design is based on the qualitative approach, the constructivist paradigm, the phenomenological method, the intentional sampling, and the semi-structured interview technique. The results demonstrate the existence of different types of domestic violence, with physical and psychological violence predominating. Experiences of abuse have interfered with students' social relationships, hindering integration in the classroom and the ability to pay attention and concentrate, which in turn limits full and satisfactory learning that affects their academic performance.
