Intentos suicidas en niños, niñas y adolescentes del municipio de Arjona Bolívar: Factores de riesgo asociados a la conducta suicida
El informe presenta los resultados obtenidos de una investigación mixta que tuvo como objetivo general identificar los factores de riesgo asociados a los intentos suicidas en niños, niñas y adolescentes en el municipio de Arjona Bolívar durante el año 2023. Se realizó un estudio de caso tomando como referencia 13 casos atendidos en la ESE Hospital Local Arjona. A partir de un enfoque metodológico descriptivo se realizó el estudio, analizando las variables sociodemográficas y aspectos significativos como los antecedentes en violencias, contexto familiar, consumo de sustancias psicoactivas, entre otros. Así mismo por medio de una encuesta se indagó sobre las percepciones y experiencias de profesionales de la salud en cuanto a los factores de riesgo de la población mencionada. Los resultados indican la prevalencia del sexo femenino sobre el masculino en los intentos suicidas, la autointoxicación por medicamento como la principal fuente de autolesión y la persistencia de factores de riesgo como el abuso sexual, la violencia intrafamiliar y el consumo de sustancias psicoactivas
The report presents the results obtained from a mixed investigation whose general objective was to identify the risk factors associated with suicide attempts in boys, girls and adolescents in the municipality of Arjona Bolívar during the year 2023. A case study was carried out taking as reference 13 cases treated at the ESE Hospital Local Arjona. The study was carried out using a descriptive methodological approach, analyzing sociodemographic variables and significant aspects such as history of violence, family context, consumption of psychoactive substances, among others. Likewise, through a survey, the perceptions and experiences of health professionals regarding the risk factors of the aforementioned population were investigated. The results indicate the prevalence of females over males in suicide attempts, self-intoxication by medication as the main source of self-harm and the persistence of risk factors such as sexual abuse, domestic violence and the consumption of psychoactive substances.
