Abstract
El presente documento se centra en realizar el diseño del mapa de amenaza de inundación para la
cuenca baja del río Bogotá en el municipio de Girardot Cundinamarca. El objetivo principal es
proporcionar información sobre las áreas que son propensas a inundación, con el fin de comunicar a la
población y a los gobiernos locales para la toma de decisiones. Con base en lo anterior, se utilizaron
metadatos suministrados por la Corporación Autónoma Regional de Cundinamarca – CAR para delimitar
la zona de análisis. Además, se ejecutó un estudio de los caudales máximo y mínimos históricos de las
estaciones la campiña, Girardot 2 y Puerto Portillo, datos que fueron entregados por el Instituto de
Hidrología, Meteorología y Estudios Ambientales -IDEAM, una vez se efectuó esto, se calcularon los
caudales para los periodos de retorno de 2.33, 5, 20, y 100 años por el método de Gumbel. Luego de
ello, se realizó la modelación de la geometría del área del río por medio del software HEC-RAS.
Posteriormente, se obtuvo información importante que ayudó a la precisión en la elaboración de la
cartografía, finalmente se representaron gráficamente los mapas de amenaza de inundación con los
caudales de los Tiempos de retorno antes mencionados.
This document focuses on designing the flood hazard map for the lower basin of the Bogotá river in the municipality of Girardot Cundinamarca. The main objective is to provide information on the areas that are prone to flooding, in order to communicate to the population and local governments for decision making. Based on the above, metadata provided by the Regional Autonomous Corporation of Cundinamarca - CAR was used to delimit the area of analysis. In addition, a study of the maximum and minimum historical flows of the La Campiña, Girardot 2 and Puerto Portillo stations was carried out, data that was delivered by the Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies -IDEAM, once this was done, they were calculated the flows for the return periods of 2.33, 5, 20, and 100 years by the Gumbel method. After that, the modeling of the geometry of the river area was carried out by means of the HEC-RAS software. Subsequently, important information was obtained that helped the precision in the elaboration of the cartography, finally the flood threat maps were graphically represented with the flows of the aforementioned Return Times.
