This research project addresses the perceptions of adolescents belonging to the youth group The Fénix, located in the Santa Rita neighborhood of Bello, regarding psychosocial and preventive interventions related to the use of psychoactive substances (SPA). The creation of this group emerged as a response to a clear social issue: the emotional abandonment and lack of parental support experienced by many young people in the area, a situation that has led to an increase in SPA consumption and negative effects on their emotional, social, academic, and family well-being. The study follows a qualitative approach within the interpretive and phenomenological paradigm, aiming to understand how adolescents interpret, feel, and evaluate preventive and rehabilitation actions in their environment. This perspective seeks to highlight not only the impact of substance use, but also how young people process their reality, build their identity, and respond to the support they receive through social and community intervention. The research focuses on key dimensions such as the role of the family, social skills, emotional well-being, and the importance of social work in the prevention and treatment of PAS use. It also recognizes the need to strengthen affective bonds, self-esteem, and safe spaces for expression—essential factors for reducing adolescents' vulnerability to substance use. This study not only aims to contribute to the understanding of the phenomenon from a contextualized perspective but also to support the design of more effective, participatory intervention strategies tailored to the real needs of young people. In this way, it seeks to generate a positive impact on the quality of life of adolescents and the transformation of their family and community environments.
