dc.description.abstract	El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre la adicción a redes sociales, la presencia de síntomas de ansiedad y el nivel de autoestima en jóvenes de Bogotá con edades comprendidas entre los 18 y 25 años. Se desarrolló una investigación de tipo transversal con enfoque correlacional, en la que participaron 120 jóvenes seleccionados mediante muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia. Los instrumentos aplicados fueron la Escala de Adicción a Redes Sociales (ARS), la subescala de ansiedad del DASS-21 y la Escala de Autoestima de Rosenberg (RSES), además de un cuestionario sociodemográfico. Los resultados evidenciaron una correlación positiva y moderada entre la adicción a redes sociales y los síntomas de ansiedad (ρ = 0.481, p < .001), mientras que no se halló relación significativa entre la adicción a redes sociales y la autoestima (ρ = -0.022, p = .813). Se concluye que un mayor nivel de adicción a redes sociales se asocia con mayores síntomas de ansiedad en población joven.
dc.description.abstract	The present study aimed to determine the relationship between social media addiction, anxiety symptoms, and self-esteem levels among young people in Bogotá aged 18 to 25 years. A crosssectional, correlational design was used, with a non-probabilistic convenience sample of 120 participants. The instruments applied included the Social Media Addiction Scale (ARS), the anxiety subscale of the DASS-21, the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES), and a sociodemographic questionnaire. The results revealed a moderate, positive correlation between social media addiction and anxiety symptoms (r = 0.481, p<.001), while no significant relationship was found between social media addiction and self-esteem (r = -0.022, p.=813). It is concluded that higher levels of social media addiction are associated with greater anxiety symptoms among young adults.
