dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo de grado se centra en la creación del cómic “Entre luces y sombras”, una propuesta narrativa que busca resignificar la imagen del barrio Manrique Oriental en Medellín a través de una historia de ficción anclada en experiencias reales. Desde una perspectiva comunicativa y social, se emplearon metodologías cualitativas como entrevistas, diarios de campo, talleres participativos y un mapa parlante, con el fin de comprender las percepciones que los habitantes tienen sobre su territorio, su historia y los cambios vividos en los últimos años. El cómic funciona como una herramienta para contrarrestar los estigmas asociados al barrio, al tiempo que rescata la memoria colectiva y fortalece el sentido de pertenencia. Este proyecto se enmarca dentro de la línea de investigación “Desarrollo humano e investigación” y la sublínea “Comunicación: imagen, representación e identidad”, promoviendo una reflexión crítica sobre el entorno urbano, la identidad barrial y el poder de las narrativas gráficas como medios de transformación social.
dc.description.abstractThis undergraduate thesis focuses on the creation of the comic book “Entre luces y sombras”, a narrative proposal that aims to reshape the image of the Manrique Oriental neighborhood in Medellín through a fictional story grounded in real-life experiences. From a communicative and social perspective, qualitative methodologies such as interviews, field diaries, participatory workshops, and a talking map were used to understand how residents perceive their territory, its history, and the changes it has undergone in recent years. The comic serves as a tool to challenge the stigmas associated with the neighborhood, while also preserving collective memory and strengthening community identity. This project is framed within the research line "Human Development and Research" and the subline "Communication: Image, Representation, and Identity", promoting critical reflection on urban environments, neighborhood identity, and the power of graphic narratives as tools for social transformation.
