Materiales ecológicos, su impacto ambiental y sus beneficios frente a los materiales convencionales en Colombia
Para esta investigación, se utilizaron las bases de datos de Google Scholar, Scielo y EBSCO, ofreciendo una vista de la gestión de proyectos y metodologías de construcción y de cómo la correcta selección de materiales ayuda a la planificación y logro de objetivos. En este caso, se realizó un análisis de cómo en Colombia la construcción genera un impacto ambiental considerable, teniendo en cuenta que el 40 % de la energía producida en el territorio se dedica exclusivamente a la construcción (Rocha, 2020). Además de esto, se generan contaminantes tanto en la producción como en los procesos constructivos. Debido a esto, se ha experimentado con una gran cantidad de materiales en búsqueda de aumentar la eficiencia y economía en construcción. Una de lassoluciones que cada vez tiene mayor relevancia y acogida son los materiales ecológicos, ya que son materiales generalmente producidos con materiales reciclados y, en muchos casos, tienen características especiales. En la actualidad, el uso de materiales ecológicos se limita a grandes empresas, las cuales pueden permitirse la implementación de nuevos métodos constructivos. Es importante generar un mayor conocimiento del uso y beneficios que los materiales ecológicos pueden ofrecer. La investigación arrojó como resultado que la utilización de este tipo de materiales reciclados o ecológicos reduce el impacto ambiental de la industria de la construcción debido a sus materias primas, a sus procesos de producción más amigables con el medio ambiente y a su menor desperdicio.
This document was developed based on a qualitative methodology, analyzing the relationship and impact of conventional construction material production and how ecological materials contribute to environmental preservation. For this research, databases such as Google Scholar, Scielo, and EBSCO were used, providing an overview of project management and construction methodologies, as well as how the appropriate selection of materials aids in planning and achieving objectives. In this case, an analysis was conducted on how construction in Colombia generates a significant environmental impact, considering that 40% of the energy produced in the country is exclusively allocated to the construction sector (Rocha, 2020). Additionally, pollutants are generated both during material production and construction processes. As a result, extensive experimentation has been conducted with various materials in the pursuit of increasing efficiency and cost-effectiveness in construction. One of the most relevant and increasingly adopted solutions is the use of ecological materials, which are generally produced from recycled components and, in many cases, possess special properties. Currently, the use of ecological materials is mainly limited to large companies that can afford to implement new construction methods. It is essential to increase awareness of the use and benefits that these materials can provide. The research findings indicate that the use of recycled or ecological materials reduces the environmental impact of the construction industry due to their raw material sources, more environmentally friendly production processes, and reduced waste generation
