Abstract
This work is the result of a process of observation, research, exchange of dialogues and reading of realities of the Mhuysqa Indigenous Community of Sesquilé Chuta Fa Aba "Los Hijos del Maíz", organized from 1999 by the doctor and traditional leader Carlos Mamanché, who, according to the stories obtained in the interviews and in documents such as the Integral Plan of Life , devoted himself entirely to leading and guiding a group of people for the recovery of traditional Mhuysqa knowledge and the appropriation of thought and territory that was bequeathed to them. Although the community has managed to bring together a group of 48 families and be recognized by the Mayor of Sesquilé and the Colombian Ministry of the Interior as an indigenous community, it has not yet been recognized as a shelter before the National Land Agency, it has also been affected by the death of its leader Mamanché, a fact from which they have not yet been able to recover and which , coupled with the economic, health, social and cultural implications of coronavirus disease (COVID 19), urged the research team to identify as an organizational problem the weakening of the sense of belonging in the members of this Mhuysqa community.
