Abstract
In a context of accelerated globalization and digitalization, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) face significant challenges to remain competitive, especially in communities such as the Latin American population in Charlotte, USA, whose demographic and business growth presents opportunities for the technology sector. This study aims to evaluate the financial feasibility of expanding Sugeek SAS's technological services to this growing market abroad. Using a documentary analysis approach, along with financial Projections based on the company's historical financial statements (2019-2023) and data from the Latin American market in Charlotte, three financial scenarios were projected: conservative, optimistic, and pessimistic, evaluating key indicators such as Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and cash flow. The results show that, although the company presents good short-term liquidity, it faces challenges related to its profitability and long-term indebtedness. Under a conservative and pessimistic scenario, the project is not viable due to a high weighted average cost of capital (WACC) of 33.52%. However, in an optimistic scenario, with a 12.5% increase in projected income, the project becomes financially viable, reflecting a positive IRR. The study concludes that expansion is possible only under favorable conditions that include strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs, providing an initial basis for strategic decisions and highlighting the importance of dynamic projections in international expansion projects.
