Abstract
Ultimate frisbee is a team sport, self-arbitrated, in which there is no contact and which consists of a confrontation between two teams of 7 players in a field 37 m wide and 100 m long, in which one of the teams tries to move a disc by passing (Sublime Ultimate, 2020). This sport has had a rapid and consistent growth of its practitioners since the sport began to be practiced in 1990 (Garcia 2022), which is observed in the increase of clubs and leagues. So for sports psychology which seeks “the application of the theory and methods of psychology to understand the performance, mental processes and well-being of people involved in sport” (Moran and Toner, 2018, p.27), so this should be a population of interest to study and apply the techniques of psychology, but after a search in databases it was found that there are only 3 studies and research on this population in Colombia. So taking the above as a basis, the present work is a qualitative study of correlational-descriptive character in which through a semi-structured interview conducted with 6 Ultimate frisbee players belonging to the ACADEMIA club of Medellin, which aims to describe what is the perception that these athletes have of the effects of psychological interventions in emotional self-regulation, also to identify the opinion that these athletes have of the effects of psychological interventions on emotional self regulation, and to identify the opinion that these athletes have of the effects of psychological interventions on emotional self-regulation.
