The Psychologist of Grandparents Foundation was established in response to thegrowing need for psychological support for older adults, a population that faces unique challenges in their aging process. Its main objective is to improve the quality of life of these individuals and to restore their active and valuable role within the community. The foundation is dedicated to addressing various issues related to aging, providing spaces for reflection and action around the meaning of growing old, managing depression and anxiety in older age, and redefining the role of the elderly in today's society, so they feel empowered and respected. One of the central aspects of the intervention is the influence of the relationship between the older adult and their caregiver on the senior's mood, self-esteem, and sense of purpose. This relationship has become a primary concern, as its quality and nature can have a significant and direct impact on the overall well-being of the older adult, affecting their emotional, mental, and even physical health. The foundation also supports older adults suffering from chronic degenerative diseases, providing specialized home care. This service is not only focused on supporting the patient but also on offering guidance and support to the caregiver, who often constitutes the main support network for the elderly. Strengthening this network is crucial to ensuring dignified and compassionate care that meets the needs of both the patient and those who dedicate their time and energy to daily caregiving. In this context, the systematization of professional practice focuses on clarifying how this relationship can benefit or harm the older adult and, from there, proposes an intervention plan aimed at raising awareness among caregivers. This plan emphasizes the importance of fostering positive interaction based on mutual respect, empathy, and constant emotional support. The goal is to promote a transition into old age that is not only calm and safe but also enriching and productive, strengthening the emotional bonds between the older adult and their family environment, which are essential for their well-being. This holistic approach aims not only to improve the emotional well-being of the older adult but also to facilitate a more complete and active integration into the community and within their family environment. By fostering an atmosphere of understanding and care, the foundation seeks to create a strong support network that allows older adults to enjoy a dignified old age, where they feel valued, accompanied, and, above all, understood
