Abstract
La influencia del bienestar emocional en el ausentismo laboral es un tema de creciente interés en Colombia. El aumento de ausencias por problemas de salud mental —como el estrés, la ansiedad y la depresión— representa un desafío significativo para las organizaciones, no solo por el impacto en la productividad, sino también por sus efectos en el clima laboral. Mediante un estudio cualitativo de alcance descriptivo-exploratorio, esta investigación busca comprender los principales factores emocionales que inciden en el ausentismo. Se analizará cómo los empleados perciben y experimentan las prácticas de bienestar emocional en sus lugares de trabajo. Para ello, se utilizarán entrevistas semiestructuradas y grupos focales que permitirán recoger las voces y experiencias de los participantes, identificando los significados que atribuyen a su bienestar y a su decisión de ausentarse. Los resultados de este estudio se proyectan como una herramienta valiosa para la gestión del talento humano. Ofrecerán una comprensión más profunda del ausentismo laboral desde la perspectiva de los trabajadores, lo que permitirá proponer acciones estratégicas que favorezcan la salud emocional, fortalezcan el clima organizacional y contribuyan a la construcción de entornos laborales más saludables y sostenibles.
Abstract Té influencia of emotional well-being on workplace absenteeism is a topic of growing interest in Colombia. The increasing number of absences due to mental health issues—such as stress, anxiety, and depression—poses a significant challenge for organizations, not only because of its impact on productivity but also for its effects on the organizational climate. Through a qualitative study with a descriptive-exploratory scope, this research aims to understand the main emotional factors that influence absenteeism. It will analyze how employees perceive and experience emotional well-being practices in their workplaces. To achieve this, semi-structured interviews and focus groups will be conducted, allowing for the collection of participants’ voices and experiences, and identifying the meanings they attribute to their well-being and their decision to be absent. The results of this study are expected to serve as a valuable tool for human talent management. They will provide a deeper understanding of workplace absenteeism from the perspective of employees, enabling the proposal of strategic actions that promote emotional health, strengthen the organizational climate, and contribute to the creation of healthier and more sustainable work environments.
