Abstract
La propuesta de pensar las practicas comunicativas y sociales como una apuesta al cambio social
hace parte de nuestra investigación El rock de Bucaramanga: una práctica comunicativa de
cambio social, la cual presenta al lector, desde un estudio de caso, una aproximación teórica que
incorpora elementos donde se explora la relación entre la música, específicamente el rock como
género musical, con los procesos de comunicación local dentro del contexto social, político y
económico de la época que refiere la investigación. Así mismo, lo ubica en el sintagma cultura
rock y en la comprensión de las industrias culturales, la música dentro de un contexto social, la
estética del rock y el fenómeno global que de él emerge. En esta investigación el lector
identificará los tipos de prácticas comunicativas y sociales que se construyeron en torno al
escenario rockero en Bucaramanga durante las décadas de los 80s y 90s, las cuales aportan al
debate sobre cómo el rock se convierte en una herramienta y práctica comunicativa de proyecto
que integra nuevos sonidos y recursos musicales vinculados a la industria musical.

Likewise, it places it in the syntagm rock culture and in the understanding of cultural industries, music within a social context, the aesthetics of rock, and the global phenomenon that emerges from it. In this research, the reader will identify the types of communicative and social practices built around the rock scene in Bucaramanga during the 80s and 90s, which contribute to the debate on how rock became a project communicative tool and a practice that integrates new sounds and musical resources linked to the music industry
