Abstract
Abstract This study analyzes research trends in the clinical field from the perspective of post-rationalist psychology through a documentary review of articles published between 2010 and 2025. Its main objective is to identify how this theoretical approach has evolved in clinical practice, as well as the most relevant categories and lines of development. The study identified three key moments: between 2010 and 2014, the theoretical foundations of the model were consolidated; between 2015 and 2019, its clinical application was strengthened, highlighting the therapeutic relationship and the reorganization of personal meanings; and between 2020 and 2025, an interdisciplinary expansion was evidenced, incorporating contributions from neuroscience, technology, and virtuality. The results show that the post-rationalist approach maintains theoretical and practical relevance by offering an understanding of the human being centered on emotion, identity, and personal meaning. In addition, limitations were identified, such as the limited amount of scientific production in Spanish and the scarce availability of recent studies in the clinical field, which opens new opportunities for research. In conclusion, the post-rationalist model is presented as a constantly evolving proposal that seeks to integrate scientific advances with a more human and experiential vision of the subject, thus contributing to the construction of more coherent, sensitive, and contextualized clinical practices
