| dc.description.abstract | This study originates from the project “Phase 1. Cognitive Stimulation and Emotional Regulation Program through Music and Movement across the Life Cycle”, which highlights aging as a natural process associated with neurocognitive changes that may affect autonomy and functional performance in older adults. Procedural memory constitutes a cognitive domain related to the implicit learning and automatic execution of motor, perceptual, and cognitive skills; however, the theoretical review reveals a significant gap in interventions specifically targeting this type of memory, as well as associated processes such as praxis and gnosis. The objective of this study was to design a procedural memory stimulation program for older adults, based on a documentary review of studies published between 2000 and 2025 in databases including PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, ResearchGate, and PsycINFO. This research follows a documentary and exploratory approach, grounded in the principles of healthy aging and cognitive stimulation. As a result, a 24-session program was developed, consisting of three weekly sessions and four levels of difficulty (basic, intermediate, leveling, and advanced), aimed at strengthening gnosis, praxis, and procedural memory processes. This program constitutes an innovative cognitive stimulation proposal that supports active aging and promotes functional autonomy in physically active older adults | |
