Abstract
El presente manuscrito de investigación examina la brecha digital en el ámbito educativo colombiano, un fenómeno que agudiza las desigualdades existentes y compromete la equidad y calidad del sistema educativo. El estudio se propuso analizar en profundidad las dimensiones de esta brecha, incluyendo el acceso a dispositivos tecnológicos, la conectividad a internet y el desarrollo de habilidades digitales, así como su impacto en las oportunidades educativas de los estudiantes. Para ello, se adoptó una metodología documental rigurosa, sustentada en una revisión sistemática de la literatura científica disponible en bases de datos de alto impacto como Scopus, complementada con un análisis bibliométrico detallado. Los resultados de la investigación ponen de manifiesto una marcada disparidad en el acceso a las TIC, especialmente en zonas rurales y en contextos socioeconómicos desfavorecidos, lo que impacta en las inequidades educativas. Las conclusiones subrayan la imperiosa necesidad de implementar políticas públicas integrales y sostenibles que no solo mejoren la infraestructura tecnológica, sino que también impulsen el desarrollo de competencias digitales, garantizando así una educación más inclusiva y equitativa en todo el país.
This research manuscript examines the digital divide in Colombian education, a phenomenon that exacerbates existing inequalities and compromises the equity and quality of the educational system. The study aimed to analyze in depth the dimensions of this gap, including access to technological devices, internet connectivity, and the development of digital skills, as well as its impact on students' educational opportunities. To do so, a rigorous documentary methodology was adopted, supported by a systematic review of the scientific literature available in high-impact databases such as Scopus, complemented by a detailed bibliometric analysis. The results of the research reveal a marked disparity in access to ICTs, especially in rural areas and in disadvantaged socioeconomic contexts, which aggravates educational inequalities. The conclusions underline the urgent need to implement comprehensive and sustainable public policies that not only improve technological infrastructure, but also promote the development of digital skills, thus guaranteeing a more inclusive and equitable education throughout the country.
