Abstract

To those “new learning environments” is what this research seeks to focus in. In the Undergraduate’s academic program of Social Communication – Journalism, the process was done to describe the forms of appropriation of free virtual platforms of a foreign language, for the significant learning of Students of Social Communication – Journalism of Uniminuto Sectional Bello in the period 2017-2. Now that they are on the internet and serve for the design and development of courses that allow improving and developing individual and collective learning. Converting then the internet and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) into an educational environment. For the collection of information, were used qualitative instruments such as, the interview to have more information that will guide the work and the observation (participant and nonparticipant) to find several important events in a classroom and to determine how students appropriate free virtual platforms for meaningful learning of a foreign language. We sought to analyze the degree of significant learning that students acquire, because learning is not similar to formal education, nor a particular educational modality. Starting from the previous premise, it is considered that by making evident the significant learning acquired by the students, the results of the work can be presented and made known to the university, so that maybe it implements the free virtual platforms of languages as a facilitating tool and feedback to the knowledge of students in a foreign language
