Abstract
Colombia has nine ports for the export and import activities, the most used are: Cartagena, Barranquilla and Buenaventura. For companies in the department of Antioquia are extensive and costly existing routes to transfer the goods to port, which is why the main objective of this work is to determine the impacts of logistics transportation costs for export by the new port under construction, (Puerto Antioquia), generating significant savings in operation times regarding transport of goods, fuel and tolls. The work focuses directly to the area of Antioquia because it is the export department of the country, with the advantage that Urabá port is located directly in the department of Antioquia, without ruling will also be an interesting alternative for nearby departments. In addition to the construction of port Antioquia, pending the construction of a dual carriageway road between Medellin-Urabá, and a tunnel in fat Canas, generating a reduction in transport times approximately 40%.
