Abstract
The present investigation uses the qualitative approach and the type of investigation is descriptive, since its main objective is to describe the perception of the inhabitants of Communes 13 and the Altavista district of the city of Medellín about graffiti, while at the same time identifying the specific characteristics of the inhabitants of these territories, the different opinions regarding graphic urban art and how it can be related to education are analyzed. The instruments used in this study are Documentary Analysis, the survey and the interview.
Although the two communes are geographically very different territories, but in their social structure and community context they are very similar, that the places intervened by graffiti do not obstruct mobility in the different spaces permeated by said technique and for most people it is very; the message transmitted by the graph is important since it gives forcefulness and understanding to the work.
In addition to understanding that knowing the perception that citizens have regarding the subject of graffiti is essential when wanting to intervene in a place with not only social or artistic intentions but also educational ones. A mural-type intervention proposal is designed, with the intention that a graffiti can be made in one of the two communes, leaving a sketch so that it can later be taken to the community.
