Abstract
El siguiente estudio de caso aborda la gestión de las comunicaciones en el
Departamento Administrativo de la Defensoría del Espacio Público-DADEP, que
hace parte de la administración central del distrito de Bogotá.
El interés de llevar a cabo esta investigación fue conocer cómo esta entidad
pública ha venido apropiando la comunicación dentro de su estructura
organizacional, al punto de convertirse o no en un proceso estratégico para el
cumplimiento de su misionalidad institucional, particularmente en lo relacionado con
la cultura ciudadana para el uso y goce efectivo del espacio público.
En este sentido, el trabajo académico en cuestión se desarrolló a través de
un enfoque cuantitativo descriptivo, donde se aplicaron diversas técnicas de
recolección de información como la entrevista semiestructurada, encuesta, marcas
de racionalidad de la comunicación, sociograma y análisis documental de informes
de empalme, gestión y seguimiento donde se registraron las acciones y/o
actividades realizadas por la entidad desde el 2020 a la fecha
The following case study takes into consideration communications management within Departamento Administrativo de la Defensoría del Espacio Público-DADEP (Administrative Department for Public Space Advocacy, in English), which belongs to the central administration of Bogota as a capital district. The aim of this research was connected to comprehending how this public institution has been incorporating communications within its organizational structure, to evaluate its inclusion (or not) as a strategic process to achieve its institutional mission. This institutional mission is focused on two areas: (a) advocate, inspect, monitor, regulate, and control public spaces, and (b) administer real-estate assets belonging to the property holdings in the capital of Colombia. In this specific sense, this academic research was developed within a descriptive quantitative approach, where different data collection techniques were used (semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentary analysis). The documentary analysis included transitional, managerial, and follow-up reports that recorded actions and activities performed by the Communications Team from 2020 to now, all of them available online (institutional website).
